About the Event
Developing Young Leaders of Tomorrow, Today (DYLOTT) is excited to announce the launch of our Black Diplomats Academy 2020-2021, featuring our signature event on December 4th with a Speaker Series with Empire Club of Canada.
Our theme for this event is “Defining Recognition and Development under the UN Decade for People of African Descent and UN75”. We have a powerhouse of leaders lined up from the public service and global diplomacy sectors. Our panelists include the Hon. Wanda T. Bernard, United Nations WE EMPOWER National Coordinator - Stephanie Dei, Public Policy and Ethics professional - Georgette Morris. This distinguished panel will be moderated by DYLOTT’s Executive Director, Candies Kotchapaw.
The Black Diplomats Academy program is focused on providing young professionals with access to specialized training and experiential learning opportunities in preparation for careers in public service and global diplomacy. This program addresses the access gaps in education, training and mentorship related to diplomacy and negotiations for Black young people.
Thank you to our partner CIBC and to Empire Club of Canada for hosting the event.
